In May of 2009, I decided to attempt becoming a Professional Poker Player. I started with $45 and a dream. In October of 2009, Kat decided to follow in my footsteps, and you can track our progress on this blog. Wish us luck!

Chad Moves On To Level 6!
Having cleared $3,000 in winnings, it's time to strategize for attacking the $3,000-$6,000 level. I feel pretty good about my game right now, having constantly made tweaks to maximize profit and minimize leaks. I'm still holding steady at about an 80% profit/loss day ratio.

$200 Cash, Biggest To Date
Playing four $20 tables today, I got 1st/1st/2nd/2nd, for a profit of $200, my biggest daily cash to date. I'm continuing to make small changes to my game, hoping that I can keep up the momentum into the next bankroll level and beyond.

Rakeback In Da House!
Kat and I managed to get Rakeback on both of our FullTilt player accounts. This means that we earn 27% of our rake deposited back into our accounts each week. If you aren't familiar, rake is the amount you pay above the entry price to play a tournament. So if you play a $20/2 tournament, the entry is $20 and the rake is $2. You get 27% of the $2 back, which doesn't sound like much until you take into account the fact that I play four of these at a time, and often dozens/day. So right now, I make between $30-50/wk in rakeback - win or lose. As I move up in stakes, the rakeback amount will also increase.
